Students will complete a review of topics covered in chapter 4 in class today. Any remaining problems will be HW and need to be handed in tomorrow. The assignment is from the text book pages 210-212, problems 1-3 and 5-29.

Tomorrow's quiz will be the last quiz opportunity of the semester.

5th Period Pre Algebra 12/11

Students will complete a review of topics covered in chapter 4 in class today. Any remaining problems will be HW and need to be handed in tomorrow. The assignment is from the text book pages 210-213, problems 1-3 and 5-41.

Chapter 5 Exam grades are now posted to PS. If a student would like to reattempt the exam, the deadline to do so is next Friday, 12/19.

Below are the next three sections of notes for the course. We will cover these sections before the break and finish the chapter shortly after break. Chapter 6 is a combination of review materials from pre algebra and some more complex absolute value functions and inequalities.

Attached is a copy of the practice exam and key. Each student should study a minimum of 30 minutes for the exam tomorrow. Good luck!

 

7th Period Pre Algebra 12/9

Students will move on to Least Common Multiple. No HW tonight.

 

5th Period Pre Algebra 12/9

Students will begin work on negative and zero exponents today.

Algebra 12/8

Students will begin the review process for Chapter 5 today with an in class review work day. Assignment will be pgs. 345-348 1-21 from the text book and should mainly be completed in class. This will be student's best opportunity to get help from myself and peers. I will be available both before and after school this week, as well as at lunch if students would like more time to review with me.

Tomorrow students will complete the practice exam in class. This practice is intended to give students a good idea of how they would score on the exam if it was given tomorrow and should be used to review problems areas during study time that night. Students should plan to study a minimum of 30 minutes the night before the test. Study should consist of review of notes and practice problems.

The chapter 5 exam will be in class on Wednesday and will be the final test/quiz grade of the semester.

5th Period Pre Algebra 12/8

Students will begin work on exponent rules from notes last week.

 

7th Period Pre Algebra 12/8

Students will begin work on fraction equivalency. Note set and practice in class. Remaining problems will be HW.
