Algebra 1 students are completing the Chapter 7 Exam as I type this. They will be able to relax a bit over break, as there will no assignment for them. We will begin units on exponential functions, polynomials and factoring, as well as quadratics after conferences. The following in a tentative/rough timeline for the remainder of the school year:
Feb/March- Exponential Functions and Polynomials
April- Polynomials/Factoring/Quadratics and graphs of non-linear function
May- Intro to Geometry/Probability
Pre Algebra students are beginning to work with rate, ratio and proportion. There will be assignments for them to complete over the five-day weekend. Documents for these will be posted to the site later today. These assignments will be included with their HW packets next Friday. The following is a tentative timeline for the remainder of the year:
Feb- Proportionality and applications to geometry and scale modeling
March- Precent/Probability and Consumer math aplications
April-- Geometry (Area, Premimeter, Solids, Surface Area, Volume)
May- Introduction to linear Functions, graphing and linear systems of equations.
